Intended to report the mode of the batch in progress. All necks have been made of carbon fiber rod and drilled holes for new tuning screws and all ribs are glued. The ribs have been carved into rough with a knife. Since I took the pictures, a bottom has been glued on too.
A fragile old man who required a lot of cracking in the lid got a special "X" because the lid is so fragile. Some kind of middle ground between "ladder" ribbing and "X" ribbing. The fingerboard in black ebony is also fragile, I have planned to sand it down on the underside and laminate it with rosewood to keep the surface intact but make it stronger. Glued on sanding dust in spruce mixed with skin glue to even out the area under the stable. There are a bunch of team pieces left in both the lid and the bottom!
A nice mahogany American has got a more normal "ladder" ribbing. Nice measurements for most things. The bottom with binding will be glued back like a piece of the puzzle when I separated the bottom with a knife and kerfling is stuck on both side and bottom.
An old cheating parlor also got a regular rib. The bottom is completely repainted, it must be cleaned.
A real old man was in good condition, but had Spanish heels and wooden screws. Very easy to build. Really old parlor guitars are awkward, I prefer ones with a slotted head and dove tail! This one also had a two-part maple fingerboard. Just took care of the bottom piece with the beautiful mother of pearl inlays. It was thinned out with the roller plaster and glued on top of a Brazilian rosewwod piece together with a new thin maple board. A conglomerate to be black lacquered. Good sound in the board! Missing neck block so far. The PegHeds screws have arrived, the originals in wood were slaughtered on the "grip" which was mounted on the aluminum rod with hidden mechanics inside. Will be nice !!
A Levin from 1945 has a curved bottom, the side is now at the top in the middle, and a standard "X" ribbing. The "String through" stable is replaced by a pin stable. This one has now had the bottom glued.
My two experiments parlors with an X and an A ribbing have also followed.
