The last two Old Gura in the previous batch of eight pieces are soon finished. Remains upper saddle and stable legs, extension, adjustment and vibration.
To the left an old man from about 1890, to the right a fine Levin from 1931.
The levine had a tricky attachment to the neck. Undoubtedly gives more glue surface and attaches the neck foot better than the usual simple neck attachment at Levin. At the neck turnover, the neck foot dropped about 2 mm at the bottom.
Will be extremely exciting to play on this 31st when it lands at the master. Looking forward to it: -) / J
