Two new Old Gura almost ready

Two Old Gura's in the final phase, a Levin from 1936 and a European parlor from the 1910s. Both were difficult cases when they were clumsily overcoated with the wrong varnish and I had to sand the wood and repaint. Both also needed new grip boards and stables. The grip on the European was almost a joke, all bands below 12th were placed on the knees, some bands missed the right place by 3-4 mm! Very few old guitars have the bands in the right place. Levin is usually the best in the class on that front, but even the one from 1936 had the straps a little randomly placed + -1 mm from the right place.

Levinen has a buyer, the European is for sale.
