Ongoing batch GG145-GG151

Has not been diligent with the blog lately. Worked on getting my home studio organized and one leading to the other. Now it has grown into a comprehensive cleaning of all the drawers and wardrobes. Has just begun, but there have been some turns to the recycling center.

Two finished GammelGura have been sold at Östmans Musik, our local music store in Örnsköldsvik, and several repairs have passed the workshop. A new batch of 7 GGs is under construction, all guitars are cracked and cracked. All necks have their carbon fiber rods, all have their ribs at the bottom. Right now ribs are glued to the lids. Took the opportunity to take "before" pictures before I started working.

GG145 Levin 51552 1923, Jerry G

An unusually late Levin parlor with vein-painted bottom and side. Someone had cut the grip on the 12th band. Both bottom and lid in the thickest layer, otherwise a Levin in fairly normal condition for his age.

GG146 Levin tenor 94282 1935, Kenneth S

A very unusual Levin model. The condition is not the best, the bottom has been glued with a black cloth to glue.

GG147 Parlor 22461 1913, Kenneth S

Yet another Levin parlor in normal condition for his age. The bottom has been repainted in black.

GG148 No. 26, Hans K

A guitar from the waiting room. Typical European parlor from about 1910. When I looked at it I saw that it once again got a good mix with new and very high ribs in the lid and the bottom. The bottom is very curved.

GG149 Klangola 180043 1946

A newer model made by Levin under the name Klangola.

GG150 Levin 5627 1906, Fredrik B

An exceptionally fine and rare Levin pearl with extra beautiful bow, back and inserts in the grip board. Stalls are missing and a number of celluloid moldings, otherwise in good condition for their age.

GG151 Supertone 1929, David G

Has a special customer in the US who is constantly sending new exciting items. This time a parlor with extra bling and a "Charles Lindbergh" stable. The stable is actually called Aero Bridge and was patented in 1928 to avoid the stable twisting the lid of the string tension. Charles flew across the Atlantic in 1929, which suited the marketing well. Bottom and side in Koa. The condition is not good, the lid is really cracked and half the fingerboard is gone.

Also in the process of renovating a Levin 95541 1935 which is a replacement for a finer Coles parlor from the USA.
