New in the workshop

Have provided some new tools to facilitate and improve the work.

Bought a “True channel”System from Stewmac. Not a cheap investment and something I wanted for a long time. A rather boring jig with a single function, to mill the channel for the binding around the bottom and the lid of an instrument. But without it, that very moment is always difficult to achieve in the best way. With the jig, it's easy.

Turned an old born pedicure machine into a "Dremel" that will only be used to polish ribbons. Have tested it and it makes polishing tapes a little more fun job. You avoid a lot of intensive polishing, which in the long run can be difficult for the body.

A good gadget that will be used in the future is a “fret barber”From Stewmac. With it you can thin the pliers on tape so they fit better in the notch you saw out of the fretboard. The brass bands I use are a little thicker than normal and the usual band saw is a little too thin. If you have a hard grip board, it can be difficult to press the strap into the groove, with this tool the strap can be thinned to a perfect fit and you do not have to use force to get it down into the groove. Especially the last straps at the bottom of the fretboard are difficult to press and then it is good if the fit can be done better.

Has sent after a 45 cm long shooting dimension. It should be used to get extra good accuracy in the strap placement on grip boards.
