Two Old Gura (almost) in one week

A week's really hard job in the room gave results. Farre brought with him a finished Old Gura in the form of a Levin from 1906. The Levine sounds very good, both Farre and I think 🙂

The old European lady from around 1900 with violin screws is almost finished as well, the upper saddle and stable legs and a little fix on it remain. It is special with the fingerboard in three pieces, a new whole fingerboard in ebony with a cut-out along the bottom for the original with inlays (which was in spruce!). In addition, a wedge at the lid so as not to get a "slope off". The stable also got new wood, a plate in rosewood underneath to raise the stable and a couple of pieces of ebony to extend the front of an oblique stable leg. The wood tuning screws were replaced with PegHed screws with hidden mechanics.

Has become a small tradition to have an apprentice in the room a summer week. Anyone who feels the urge to book a week next summer can hear from them 🙂
