Is finished with the two GammelGura (nos. 71 and 72) without buyers as far as I take with me to Stockholm folk festival on the 7th and 8th of August (Friday / Saturday). Will be in CJ Acoustic Music's booth among their fine new mandolins and guitars. Maybe we'll meet there. A bit like a cat among the ermines is GammelGurorna - but that's how we like it!
The two are a German parlor that was dated internally (!) To 10 Dec 1892 and a Levin from 1937. The German is in more original than I usually do when the tuning screws were unusually fine and the neck almost without dings. Suitable for a folk musician, I think! The Levine has an adjustable stall (which I am very proud of) and sounds considerably better than they usually do.
The one from 1892 has Newtone Heritage 0.12 and Levinen Newtone Masterclass 0.11. Both have a K&K mic and neck knob mounted. The German got a replica stable in ebony (the original was missing but you could clearly see the shape of the lid!) And a new fretboard in specially selected brown ebony and a toned upper saddle. Levinen got a new fretboard in Madagascar rosewood and a stable. Both have brass straps and a 20 ″ radius on the fretboard. Levinen got new vintage tuning screws while the German kept his fine originals.
Extra price 7995 to buy at the people festival If they are not sold, they will end up in the shop for trial play.
Some pictures of the two finished guitars.
Inside the old German was a written text, the year could be interpreted anyway.
