Renovation of a Levin 1916 parlor

In addition to GammelGura, I also do renovations. This one became unusually extensive, half an Old Gura. GG172, Levin 1916

This Old Guran was made on a Levin from the waiting room and 1916. It originally had a string holder, but was converted to a fixed stable for the best sound. The biggest problem with it was that part of the lid around the sound hole was missing on both sides of the fretboard. Playing pits

Old walnut boards on Levin parlor guitars often have serious playing pits after extensive playing with chords on the top three frets. Many Levin guitars were used as so-called "jesus buttons" and were played at many meetings at e.g. the salvation army.
