Have got more GammelGura ready that I have not reported. GammelGura 39. Levin from 1945. X ribbing and curved side and a new pin stall in a comprehensive "fix". Good projection and volume strung with Newtone Masterclass 0.11 strings. GammelGura 40. American from about 1925, possibly Regal. Made in Chicago most likely. A darker sound than the…

Old Gura 45

GammelGura 45. An old man who required a lot of cracking in the lid got a special "X" because the lid is so fragile. Some kind of middle ground between "ladder" ribbing and "X" ribbing. The stable was a "mess" with sticky carpentry glue and holes in the lid under the stable. It took a long time as there was a lot to fix. …
