Just repaired: Granström & Sundquist

Got in a rather ugly, but nice nylon guitar made in Umeå in the 50s. A Granström & Sundquist with a solid wood four-piece spruce top and walnut plywood in the bottom and sides. Old Gura 19

Reports another finished GammelGura, a European parlor from around 1910. This was overpainted with modern varnish and the spirit varnish underneath was crumbly and dried out. Had to repaint the entire instrument. Short mensur of 61 cm, thick lid with small dimensions and low stable leg meant that I could string it up with standard 0.11 strings. An interesting detail…
