Two new items for GammelGura have arrived for February. Both real characters! To begin with a nice but battered Gibson copy of Levin from 1931 (same body shape as Robert Johnson's famous guitar). The actually nice lyrics on the cover should be preserved and are titles of old troubadour songs 🙂 Have a lot…
All bottoms, K&K mics and stalls glued on the six. A repair of a simple tailpiece Levin with a birch bell also slipped in the pictures. The next step is to fix with necks and fretboards!
The bottom of all six is soon glued. An advantage of having the bottom off is that it is easy to mount a K&K mic, takes about 10 minutes. Both the Swedish ones feel very promising!
Not on the side. In addition to repairs, I now have six Old Gura in progress. They are disassembled, the necks have been given carbon fiber rods and the bottom and top have had new ribs glued. All but one who needed some extra gluing of the lid (not included in the pictures).
